PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on October 19, 2017 at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of William G. Schmitz, (Owner of Record) on behalf of Rogers Industrial Park, LP, for variations from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to permitted locations of buildings and parking stalls in industrial zoning districts.
Section 3-7: D (1) prohibits principal structures from being located within any required front yard area. The petitioner is requesting to allow their existing building to encroach approximately twelve and one half (12 ½’) feet into the required twenty five (25’) foot front yard setback along Higgins Road and approximately six feet (6’) into the required twenty five (25’) foot front yard setback along Elmhurst Road.
Additionally, section 3-7:E (3) (b) prohibits parking of vehicles within the required twenty five (25’) foot front yard setback. The petitioner is requesting permission to allow one (1) parking stall along Higgins Road to encroach into the required twenty five (25’) foot setback and three (3) parking stalls along Elmhurst Road to encroach into the required twenty five (25’) foot setback.
